ABOUT

The Meet Your Knitter project is contextualized in and elaborated for the Dutch fashion label Inti Knitwear. Inti Knitwear produces garments in Ecuador for countries in the West and East Asia. The designed Intimate app creates the opportunity to develop custom-made clothing on a global scale.

For this, customers are encouraged to use the Intimate app, to scan the fashion item’s label and experience the process, people and story of their garment. If they use the same app to send in a picture where they show the knitters how they like to wear a purchased garment, they can win a custom-made garment for which they can select their favourite knitter and sewer. Producers take the send in picture as source of inspiration.
The system focuses on contributing to the meanings of the products that surround us, and foster new relationships between the people who make things and the people who use them.

The designed Intimate System: helps customers and producers connect with each other, and engage in a meaningful dialogue about their environment - and the fashion items that surround them. Together create items that resonate with the individual customer’s style.

ABOUT

La Pâte Meat Fruit aims to seduce and inspire diners with an en- tirely new eating experience that balances eating meat and fruit. In vitro technology is used to grow meat structures that precisely mimic those of various existing fruits such as berries, oranges, and man- goes. The result is used to create La Pâte, a sweet-savory amuse- bouche ideal for Michelin-starred restaurants. Besides the joy of fus- ing fruit and meat into one exclusive hypernatural dining experience, meat-fruit is also a celebration of our unisex culture. In contrast to our prehistoric past where men hunted and women gathered, we now live in a post-masculine, post-feminist society where gender doesn’t matter like before. Meat-fruit exemplifies the perfect blend between male and female.

ABOUT

The Dutch foundation called Niketan is supporting a Bangladeshi initiative to take care of mentally disabled children. Within the Alternative Diaper project we faced the problem that these children are not toilet trained and there is no possibility to make use of diapers in case this would introduce a waste problem.
To solve this problem, we developed the Dayapara; an environmentally-, user- and helper- friendly alternative for the Western diaper. The Dayapara consists of a short look-a-like outer part and a changeable inner part. Every time the disabled child defecated the inner part can be changed for a new one. After usage the inner part can be used as fertilizer.
